About Calinear

A directory of local businesses and services across California.

What Calinear is

Calinear helps people find local businesses, from plumbers and electricians to dentists and restaurants, by city, neighborhood and type of service. Each listing shows the contact details we have on file, such as address, phone number and website, and links you can use to reach the business directly.

Listing details come from public sources, from business owners and from people who report corrections. Not every record has been re-checked yet. Our methodology explains where the data comes from, how results are ordered and what a listing does and does not tell you.

How we work

  • Local by design

Browse by city, neighborhood and type of service instead of one long statewide list.

  • Facts we can source

A listing shows the details we have on file. Where something is missing or not yet re-checked, we leave it out rather than guess.

  • Paid placement is labeled

Businesses can pay for a Premium listing. It can appear higher in results and is marked as Premium or Sponsored. Payment never changes reviews or listing facts.

  • Owners can fix their listing

Business owners can add or update their listing for free, and anyone can report a mistake.

Reviews, sponsored placement and AI-assisted text are covered in our editorial and review policy.
